These INPLASY Terms set forth the terms and conditions for using the International Platform of Registered Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocols (“INPLASY”). INPLASY provides a comprehensive listing of systematic review protocols, scoping review protocols, and other review synthesis projects registered prospectively to reduce the opportunity for reporting bias by enabling comparison of the completed article with what was planned in the protocol and avoiding duplication. Additionally, retrospective registration is permitted, but the authors should report the current review status (completed but not published) in their protocol, indicating the reasons for preventing prospective registration. The following Terms and Conditions apply for the use of the INPLASY platform.

  • Two companies produce INPLASY collaboration. INPLASY Ltd. is a company organized under the laws of Brasília-DF, BRAZIL, and the Brazilian identification number is 35.925.208/0001-04. INPLASY, Inc. is organized under the laws of Delaware, USA, and the EIN is 352706904. Our mission is to make research outputs easy to find, cite, link, and assess systematic review protocols and others. To that end, INPLASY:
    • manages and maintains a database of systematic review protocols identified by persistent identifiers (INPLASY number and digital Object Identifiers – DOI);
    • facilitates the deposit and retrieval of systematic review protocols;
    • provides public and free access around the world. INPLASY protocols are available to all requesters across the globe at no charge. Uptime is one of the most critical aspects when choosing a database for your systematic review protocol. We do our utmost to ensure its accessibility. Our benchmark for “Excelente” uptime is 99.93%, and INPLASY easily surpasses this benchmark, comfortably keeping our website live for 99.99% of the time.
  • All of the above functions, including associated systems, hardware, software, and know-how, are referred to in these Terms as the “INPLASY Infrastructure and Services.”
  • The cost associated with registering a protocol in INPLASY is US$ 20.00. To update your INPLASY protocol, you must pay US$ 9,00.
  • Membership in INPLASY is open to organizations, universities, or hospitals that produce systematic reviews and otherwise meet the terms and conditions established from time to time by INPLASY. Becoming a member of INPLASY means joining a community of organizations that want to share systematic review protocols through INPLASY persistent identifiers. Many types of organizations can be members. You could be a University, a research institution, a government agency, a research funder, or a hospital. As a member, your annual membership fee supports our shared infrastructure and lets the members of your organization publish and update your content without any additional cost.
  • By submitting a membership application, the organization agrees to be bound by these Terms and, upon INPLASY’s approval of that application and receipt of the first annual membership fee, the applicant becomes an “Organization Member.” For more information about Membership, click here.
  • The INPLASY platform is independent and global. Therefore, we are not affiliated with any particular country or institution. None submission is prioritized during the editorial process, and all protocols are published within 48h.
  • If you have any further queries about your subscription, please contact our customer services team via email at editorialmanager@inplasy.com
  • How to pay the publication fees: Individual payment is made via our PayPal button, Credit Cards, Afterpay, Alipay, or WeChat Pay. For annual membership fees, bank transfers are accepted.
